Rock Law

  • I have been further down the route with RockLaw/ARB Advisory. In Sept 2014 I fell for this too. However, I did get a positive outcome - more by luck than judgement! On receipt of the payment I phoned RockLaw to ask what happens with the payment of the agreed fee minus the £495 taken on my credit card. Last Friday I received a letter from my bank saying that ARB had written to them asking about any settlement and they had forward the figures. This morning I went to find the RockLaw website and have discovered this scam. Do I feel stupid! I am assuming that as a contract is in place I am expecting to pay the outstanding amount. Do I need to be aware of anything else?
  • Yes - you can expect them to demand it. On the other hand, unless their are terms in their contract requiring you to proactively contact them and tell them it has been received or proactivey pay, you could simply put their of money on deposit and earn a little interest whilst you wait.

You know they are aware of it, so they have six years to claim it. So it might mean some money in time for Christmas 2021.
  • I did call them as soon as I received resolution on the claim and was told to expect an invoice but nothing arrived. It will be interesting to see what happens and their approach.

  • Apparently the Legal Ombudsman continues to consider complaints against Rock Law Limited without you needing to complain to Rock Law first.
