reclaiming barclaycard ppi

ive had my Barclaycard for at least 12 years and pay ppi on it,
I was just wondering if id left it to late to try to claim it back?
im pretty sure I was missold it because I get paid sick pay when im off, to the point I was off sick for 4 months a couple of years ago and totally forgot I had ppi,
sorry if this post doesn't make much sense but its my first ever post

How would Barclaycard have been expected to know that you get paid whilst off sick? If that is the sole basis for complaint it seems pretty weak.0
