I have written to Santander with one of you templates, they wrote back to say I had to pay £10.00, which I sent, My account was with Bradford and Bingley at first but sent to Santander, when they were bought out. I have no paperwork at all, paid off my mortgage 6 years ago, but did take loans out with them, and had a Interest only mortgage, was made to take out insurance as I was a single mother at the time. So now I have to write to BB and they require £10........... What are they doing why did I have to send Stantander money if they are not the Data Controller for BB, they also said they had located a MBNA account for me ? what is that ? where so I go from here ? sorry about the ramble but do not understand why thanks in advance for any help

Re £10 charges: Santander can apply this charge if you want them to search their records for any data they have about you. All they found was that you once had an MBNA account.
B&B can also charge the £10 if you want them to search their records for anything they may still have (about you).0 -
oh i see - she was replying to other peoples posts seeing that she was in the same boat, and then must have thought rather than hijacking other peoples post, wrote her own.
Is that wrong? She came for help, and saying "pointless"....and shes not been back....:/ Shes new. I was just simply saying cut her a little slack, clearly shes not intentionally doing something to wind someone up - shes asking for help, and being told shes posting wrong and rudely.
Just didnt think it was a very nice way to greet someone new, clearly needing help, coming here, asking for it - and being slammed for answering on other threads, and then deciding to post her OWN thread rather than hijackiing......IMO....thats a shame.0 -
Well don't blame me, I never said a word:rotfl:
I've explained how to find her own previous posts and tried to answer her question about the £10 dsar charges.0 -

This should have been what was written originally.
I dont get all the hassle of slamming a newbie for post errors.
Thanks for editing your post and adding the answer the OP was asking for by the looks of it.0 -

But, it's the first time I've answered any of her post(s) ,
I went and read her other posts and edited my post to try to be helpful, I can't help what was written originally.0 -

oh no no!! I didnt mean you personally - i didnt mean that - it was just in general.
Apologies if it came across that way! The main problem with the internet - cant see or hear the way things are meant to be said!!
YOU offered some sliver of help, but i see she hasnt returned, so.... sadly, my original prediction was right0
