We were visiting some friend in the west country recently and unfortunately I had an accident with my pay as you go mobile phone.

I went into the local Carphone store in Plymouth and the advisor called Jade was so helpful.

I explained to her what I wanted and Jade directed me to the PAYG area and there was one unlocked for £20.00. I was just about to buy one and asked if she had one with a flip up lid. She managed to find one which would cost me £25.00.

However she checked my T Mobile account and saw I had been with them for a few years and let me have the phone for £9.99 and I could use my original sim card.

I was so very impressed with her excellent service. I always think these stores are staffed by pushy sales people. How wrong can you be.

CPW have been doing "upgrades" to people (not necessarily customers) with more than a years sim ownership for quite a while now, prices range from £4.99 upwards.

I recently bought a couple of "Upgrade" Smartphones for £15 each !

Brand new, no problems, using an old sim I had not used for a while, plus a more recent one.

Having said that, you received good service.
