Barclays ppi reviewing claim

my husband got a call saying they are reviewing his claim which they refused to pay.

they are asking for supporting documents with regards to sick pay from the employer he was with at the time of the application.

1. this was so long ago dont recall who his employer was
2. who keeps this paperwork for over 15 years?

I can recall that he always had cover for the first six months.

they want a response within five days....

People who are complaining that their PPI cover was missold on the basis that their employer at the time provided sick pay far above SSP.

If you/he don't remember who he worked for, the bank can't be seriously expected to believe that you do know he had sick pay which provided enough of a benefit as to make PPI pointless/unclaimable.

Lots of people do. Now you see why. it doesnt have to be original. Scanned copies saved to computer work just as well.

Yet he can remember being mis-sold PPI? Their questions suggest that employer benefits were given as a complaint reason. So, how can you not know the employer but know they paid out sick pay?

How can you not know who you have worked for over the years?
