    How is that defo the shower valve? That could just be a sign that the plate heat exchanger is blocked with debris and its over heating then cooling then overheating again!

    Am I missing something cause I don't see any indication from the OP that the plate or the shower is the prob ?

    Probably my fault for opening a second thread when we came to the conclusion it must be the shower that was faulty and as Grohe had confirmed that it was 20 yrs old from the photo I managed to send them, we decided it was time to get a new one and I was asking how to remove the old one.

    Hope that clarifies things a bit :o
