  • So today, my dearest of internet diaries, I could easily have had a NSD. Easily.

Except, they were selling these magnificent doughnuts in the shop at work. They were glorious, filled with custard and covered in chocolate and sprinkles. So I bought one for a pound, and I'm not even sorry.

That is my confession, dear internet, and I hope you don't judge me too harshly for it. I have been really rather good.

  • This puts my money left over for the month at £66.52, which is definitely doable. Just not too many doughnuts.

Well he has had his eye on the new FIFA game, but I'm being stern.

Very wise indeed. You need to be saving the pennies for when he wants Fallout, Halo and Tomb Raider in a few short weeks. Thank Goodness Rainbow Six Siege got delayed, my budget can't take much more!

I'm hoping my housemate will pick up fallout so I can just play his...

If it's anything like the last one, it'll last me for months and months.

The new football manager on the other hand I will have to budget for for myself. But that too will last me for hundreds of hours, so I'll definitely get my moneys worth.

Well done so far, great that your attitude to 'spare' cash is changing. That's part of my problem too, it all needs to be spent!

Don't get a dog then. They want treats between meals, treats between treats, and then still expect some of your meal. They also require you to accompany them on their daily walks. Mine is bloody useless at catching spiders too.
  • Mmmmmm Doughnuts.....

Can't fault you, £1 well spent in my humble and sweet-toothed opinion! :rotfl:

I think thats where YNAB might come in handy... although that costs money so it seems counterintuitive at the moment...

My cat is long haired, so he actively messes the place up just by wondering about!

  • Ok, so I didn't post yesterday as I have had a bit of a disaster and I wasn't sure how I was going to go about handling it.

    My 'wardrobe' collapsed.

I say wardrobe, it was more of a pole on legs. It was always meant to be temporary and now it has collapsed under the weight of my own expectations of it, I think. The metal on one of the legs has literally sheared in two and now all of my clothes are just lying on the floor. I need to replace it.

Ordinarily, that would go on the credit cards. I've decided to wait until payday and just put up with the clothes on the floor. This will put next months overpayments on the back burner however, which has really annoyed me. I really wanted to start seeing some progress. I'm just going to keep on being careful with my money however and see how it all goes.

Between yesterday and today I have spent £4.83 on bits and pieces, mostly necessary partly luxury. I say luxury, I bought myself a big bottle of Dr Pepper for the weekend and a large pack of sensations because I was in a mood after my wardrobe drama.

Still, left on £61.69 going into the expensive weekend. I'll do a food shop tomorrow and then try not to spend tooo much entertaining my cousin on Saturday. I'm regretting promising her a restaurant when I thought I was rich, but I don't see her very often so I'm sure she is worth it.
