Shed buying advice please

  • Hi
I am also looking for shed, have found Pinelap sheds on ebay, based in Bradford. Reviews seem ok and the prices are very reasonable.
  • I have recently bought a shed and the buying process spanned almost a year. I wanted not just a space to store, but one to do - a bit of potting, run the dehydrator etc. and the pent-style 10 x 8 I first considered didn't quite do it for me in the end. If you have the space then and extra couple of feet in each direction isn't much more expensive and gives you lots more options. I ended up with a 12 x 8 tongue and groove, dutch barn with double stable doors. Not cheap but finally ticked all the boxes and now I just have to save up for the internal shelving, etc. I think it's a bit like buying a bed - it's going to last you a hell of a long time so get the very best you can afford.

The September issue of Kitchen Garden magazine has detailed info about building your own shed. Dare I mention that the person who built it and wrote the article was female?
Some of the sheds pictured are quite something!
Plenty of ideas about sourcing materials for a good price or even free.
The October issue is out so you'll have to look on the website, and/or try to get hold of the September magazine.
Definitely have a look to get ideas.

i haven't look at this mag so i culd be wrong. But I think you'll get much better inspiration and get a feel of the build by watching the countless numbers of youtube videos available that show how to build a shed.
