Well done to TA xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Good morning everyone.
It is a glorious morning here today. I have a few jobs on the list to do inside but I think they will have to wait. It seems a shame not to take advantage of this lovely weather so I plan to go out into the garden and do some tidying up and chopping back of the plants in the borders. The council composting bin is due to be collected tomorrow so I shall keep going till it is full.
Hope everyone has a lovely day x0 -
Morning all,
Beautiful morning again although I could see the mist laying over the river first thing.
DH is doing the brakes on his car and I've been sorting through paperwork and the like. Don't think we will be up to much later, just pottering
Mince for dinner, either Lasagne, Cottage Pie or Meatloaf.
Have a fab Sunday0 -
Good Morning everyone, we're back home now after a really good run down the motorways and It's lovely! We had such a super day yesterday and a lovely meal out in the evening but DD1s Pushkin cat kept me awake nearly all night, he wanted to play and kept coming in and scratching on the bed and when I shut him out he scratched on the door until I had to let him back in or he's have woken everyone else up, he's a pickle!!! I've had a couple of cups of coffee having dozed nearly all the way home but I'm still not really awake, snooze time this afternoon I think!
DD2 and Hubby and that Zebra have gone away for a week in the Italian sunshine and we heard they'd arrived safely and that Zebra was really good on the flight so I hope they have a really relaxing time, they both work very hard.
Have dug our a packet of puff pastry and some much reduced veal mince from the freezer and will make a big meat and potato pie for supper and to have cold for the next couple of days, will be off to pick tomatoes and beans up the garden in a minute and will make some sort of cake to see us through the week when the oven is on for the pie. The washing is almost finished in the machine and I can't vacuum as the filters are all drying on top of the boiler, looks like I'll just have to relax this afternoon, Oh what a hardship!!!
Have yourselves a nice Sunday everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]Despite looking after my hands and using hand cream, they're very dry and the skin has split slightly on two of my fingers on one hand. I can only put it down to Scampi pulling on the lead – I wrap the lead around my hand a couple of times when he's very close to the road to keep him next to me – but I haven't walked him for a few days so I'm not sure why it's so sore now? I'll give them a soak this morning, use some hand scrub and thick moisturiser then dab sudocrem on the split bits. Can I use this as an excuse not to wash up all day? :rotfl:

My hands get terribly dry, crack and then bleed so I use aqueous cream for washing and, if they're rough at night slather it over them at bedtime for a moisturiser. Works a treat and isn't expensive.
I did go back to bed and feel rather better for it although, of course, I've lost my morning. I did wake up in time to hear a bit of The Archers omnibus though so at least it feels like Sunday.
Plan for the rest of the day is a nice shower, quick trip to the corner shop and a long hard think about what's wrong with me. Not sure if I'm depressed or just bored (losing the Lottie has really knocked me off my stride.) By tomorrow I will have a plan which doesn't involve sleeping at inappropriate times and does involve doing something productiveHousehold: Laura + William-cat

Afternoon
I'm sat watching the rugby , I've never watched it before and I have no idea what's going on lol:rotfl:
Dd1 is there with her bf and I'm hoping I will see her , I don't think there's much hope
redruby I know what you mean, the 3 years at uni goes so quickly , dd1 has finished now and is settled in a different city with a lovely bf and a good job , I miss her but she has done so well
I'm in the process of switching my bank account , hopefully the new bank will serve me better , I've done it all online and there should be a financial reward when it's all completed :T
tru split skin on fingers is so painful , I've started using ' helping hands ' from lu$h its formulated for nurses who are always washing their hands and it's really good , plus you can return the tub to the shop for recycling / reusing :T
Doing a simple dinner tonight , fish cakes jacket potato and salad
Just had hm carrot and lentil soup and bread and butter for lunch , and there's plenty left for another day :j
Have a good afternoon everyone xx0 -
Afternoon all. My new microwave is now in situ and I have been trying to fathom out the instructions. Oh dear, why is everything so complicated these days! It's stainless steel and looks very smart. The price was £60 but, as I had £37.50 worth of Nectar points, I only had £22.50 to pay out. (On top of that was the cost of a few packs of ys meat and fish all reduced to half price which I couldn't walk past!)
Today didn't live up to promise after the lovely start we had. It's now cloudy and quite chilly but at least the washing dried.
CSARINA your mystery with the bulbs brings a similar mystery we had to mind. I had put a bunch of lilies in the garden waste recycling bin and next morning they were all pushed stem down into the garden!! Who has nothing better to do than rummage in other people's garden waste? It gave us a laugh anyway!
Have a nice evening all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
notjustlaura I have several pot of Aqueous cream cream in the cupboard and have never heard of using it to wash your hands ,that sounds like a great way to use it up.When I was having treatment for my lymphatic arm the Dr. gave me a big boxful to use when I massage it. But I preferred the Dermol shower stuff so I have about 4 huge pots of the stuff in the cupboard.Anyone got any other ideas what I can use it for I know you can use it as a make-up remover but I don't wear a great deal of make-up to warrant it.
While I'm on here,I am trying to find a chocolate tray bake recipe,Really I need to know the ratio of SR flour to cocoa.I had a really nice recipe but in the change over from Desk top to laptop I seem to have mislaid it Help!!!!
DGS Ben has gone back to Uni at Norwich and I'm just waiting for his Mum and Dad to get back home so we can have dinner. Its all cooking nicely, and the weather has been so nice I managed to get all of DDs linen basket washed and dried for her today.
Even Henrys thick school wet weather coat is done and dried and hanging in his wardrobe.
Hope everyone has had a good day, supposed to rain again tomorrow, hence doing all the washing today (my late Mum would be horrified with me for doing washing on a Sunday:):):))
Cheers chums

Had dd set off for airport this morning for her holiday and her older sister stayed over as her husband was away so we went over a few slimming recipes and ideas and had a nice natter.
I made low fat turkey burgers with peppers and onions and fat free wedges for lunch.
Another dd comes home tomorrow to pick up some more of her things and I am going to make us a nice healthy lunch.
