itvplayer shows;is there a way of ripping these off as you can BBC-iplayer progs?

I have get-iplayer installed on my Samsung Win8.1 notebook which is great for getting BBC-TV and radio shows off bbc-iplayer for my own personal pleasure BUT is there anything in software terms on the internet which can do the same for shows streamed online using itvplayer by ripping them to a file in their original HD quality (where broadcast in HD) so I can enjoy these independently? I have tried get-iplayer with itvshows and it doesn't work. :beer:

Just sometimes, there is an occasional little goodie, but admit, it's a rarity.
I have downloaded from ITV using get iplayer automator on a Mac, I'm assuming this is what the OP uses, but have no idea why it's not working for him, if it is indeed the same programme.
