Suitable only for those who'd fail a credit check, I guess. What else makes it attractive? 0.25% interest? (N.B. NOT 0.5%)

    Huh!

There's a huge difference between people who want a current account for its interest rate, and those who are desperate to get one despite their awful credit records. If you were one of the latter, you'd probably jump on Fidor.

Fidor is clearly not for those who want to use a current account for their savings even though they will pay 0.5% interest once they got 10,000 likes on Facebook.

    As I said.

Let's stick to the present - where it is 0.25%.

The debit card is shown as 'coming soon' so at the moment it is a bank account without a debit card. I'm not quite sure how you would go about actually making a cash withdrawal from this account.
This account reminds me of the banking facilities offered by Cashplus to holders of their prepaid cards and is probably intended for the same market.

As for savings, the interest offered on the savings bonds is better than my own high street bank offers on equivalent bonds!
