Cattery that will take FIV Cat?

Hi

My Mum and Dad have a Cat that has FIV and unfortunately our usual cattery will not accept him. I have looked after him this year for their holidays but next year my brother is looking to get married abroad and so we all need to go away.

If anyone knows anywhere that might take him in the Cheshire area I would be really grateful

Try other catteries. FIV can only be transmitted by biting, so if your cat is not allowed to mix with others, there's no danger to other cats.

The big issue for your parents is that their cat's immune system is lower than normal, so it is prone to deterioriate very quickly, should it fall ill.

You will probably not get it in - what about a pet sitter?

FIV is not easily passed between cats through normal day-to-day activities, so I find it rather strange why they won't take your cat.

But, have you got a friend that can opo n each day to help look after the cat whilst your away?

I suppose it's more the case that they would rather be safe than sorry.

Pet sitters are very good, I always take my dog to the dog sitters, he's only allowed a few dogs at time so poochie gets more interaction than if she was with kennels.

Can you ask a neighbour to pop over for a few ££?
