As my son needs a £40 A Level physics book & I have a 20% off all purchases at WH Smiths card, I am going to try and get the book in store.
If there is no stock in my local store, hopefully I can order it & still get the discount. Seems to be the cheapest way to get the book. Just a shame they do not give the discount for on-line orders.
Will report back on success (or not).

These are A Level text books which no school provides. At least this one will last for both years unlike others.
