Most of our family photographs (plus all my husband's hobby photos) are on mounted slides. A friend of ours has a Nikon Slide Colourscan I think it is called and says it is fantastic. Today on line I think the cheapest I found was just over £400 because I do need the slide mount attachment. I do not want to break the mounts and just scan the negative as we have thousands!
Want to do family albums for both our grown up children charting their childhood, plus scan ancient family pictures to create something for them to keep and show our grandchildren.
Any sites you would recommend to get the Nikon cheaper or any other similar scanner which you would recommend. I really do want good quality.
Anticipating your expertise.

No Sorry. He lives too far way and he has even more slides than us to sort out. I would rather invest in something I can do here for us. We are more than 2 hours apart on motorway so not feasible to pop round with the hardware.
Thanks for your comment though - I know where you are coming from. Thanks also for the link - I will investigate. It looks quite good. Anyone else got comments? Nikon comes with Photoshop Elements so thought a bonus. Can you do most editing through Photoshop 4 Home Edition or should I upgrade?
