First time on a forum.
Most of the sites have found are all base on the main six providers. can any one tell me if they have heard of these other providers and are they use in Scotland?

Stick a Scottish postcode in the first page of any comparison site and the list of suppliers available will be 95% complete. There are very few regional-only providers.

I was persuaded to switch from my supplier to British Gas through the Martin Lewis site. My quote was £30 cheaper per month. That was until the first meter reading when I found myself in debt to my new supplier and am now paying £40 per month more. So an increase of £10 per month more than I was paying before I switched. It would appear that some suppliers are conning you into switching to them with unrealistic quotes. Not a happy bunny!!

Putting accurate information, kWh annual consumption is the ONLY useful figure, into any of the switching sites gives you all the information you need for an informed decision on switching. It will give you the annual cost which you can divide by 12 to get the monthly amount you should be paying. What figures did you put into the site ?
