Builders focus their efforts on sold properties. Until exchange there's no guarantee you won't drop out. Houses go up very quickly now.

Do you need sofas the day you move? Brand new ones, that you don't have money for?
Why not see what you can get on freegle / freecycle / facebook groups nearer the time to get you going for the time being?
