PAYCOM.NET HELP Unauthorised withdrawal

Options
My apologies if this is in the wrong place,
My current account has been debited about £25.00 by a company called "paycom.net" I have searched on google and many people seem to have the same problem. How ever no one seems to know who they are,I therefore wondered if any one on here could throw any light on them.

I have of course spoken to my bank (HSBC) who inform me that they will send me a mountain of paperwork to complete before they can do any thing.(Must be busy repaying unlawful bank charges)

Any help much appreciated. Brilliant site.

Regards Andy1

I typed in www.paycom.net and a website came up, it directs you to epoch.com, there is a section for contact us and it seems to be USA based.

I don't know if it is the right company, but you might want to have a look.
  • It's a service company, based in the US, and which processes internet payments for other companies. Quote from their site :

"Paycom.net is an Internet Payment Service Provider (IPSP) which enables online companies to accept payments without obtaining their own merchant account. Paycom.net specializes in billing for subscription based websites, password management, fraud prevention, customer service, and innovative marketing and retention tools.
Paycom.net's services are available to businesses in the United States and the European Union for processing of Visa, MasterCard, Discover, JCB, Switch, Solo, and ACH. "

have you subscribed to any online service or "Free Trial"?
  • I have been debited £15.91 by Paycom.net for some months. I thought it was for a particular transaction, but it turns out not to be that. Two months ago it changed to www.Epoch.com. Today I went to their website and clicked on their "contact us button" and then sent an email. The email bounced back with the words "Invalid Address". It looks to me that these people may be scammers.
  • Hey all Ok live in Sydney Australia and I've noticed that i've had $49.24 AUD debited from my account for quite a few months as well now. I origionally thought as well that this was for a subscription such as my World Of Warcraft however after looking closer they have their own name on my VISA statement. I'm convinced this is fraud of some sort .. anyone know how we can all go about getting our money back? Being a student that doesn't earn much at all that explains why i've felt broke for the past 6 months =(

Paycom/Epoch is a IPSP (Internet Payment Service Provider) like WorldPay/2Checkout. The provide credit/debit card billing on behalf of web merchants.

The difference is they mainly target high-risk merchants (Pornography subscription sites). However they also process non-pornography website transactions.

Call/Email Epoch or contact your bank.
  • As said above, PayCom is a merchant that generally deals with the subscription charges that result from signing up for internet pornography websites.

I believe there's a way of cancelling all subscriptions you have with PayCom using their website, but as I'm at work I don't really want to go and find out exactly how it's done.
  • Well, just another complaint regarding Epoch.com.Only just noticed total of £334 taken from my account over last 16 months from this company. Haven't a clue who they are and have never joined or paid into any membership for anything on the internet. Somehow they have managed to get hold of my debit card details. All I can say is, be very wary when making any purchases of any kind on the web. I know its difficult as I have always only used sites where the gold padlock has been showing at the bottom of the web page, so what can you do? My bank is looking into this fraud at the moment and they have blocked my existing debit card and are issuing me with a new one.
What a load of trouble this has caused. Hope they get caught.....

Maybe you should pay as much attention to your bank statement as you do little gold padlocks?
    What would William Shatner do?
