Hi all,
I'll be moving to Republic of Ireland in the next 2 months for a job. I will be paid in euros so I think I'll need an account that's based in the Euro system, is this correct?
Does anyone have experience setting up an account in Ireland when you don't currently have an Irish address?
Also if anyone knows how I can get a large amount of £ converted into Euros cheaply that would be fantastic.
Any and all advice is welcome please, never moved to another country before.

I think, even if possible, this will be not easy. Why not wait until you settle there?Does anyone have experience setting up an account in Ireland when you don't currently have an Irish address?

Don't forget to look into taxation, particularly as you seem to have real estate in the UK.

Ulster Bank used to give ROI customers free access to RBS / NatWest ATMs in GB and might be able to help too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
