In a Bit of a Muddle

Hi

Have been doing some business for my mum who has not yet bought her laptop. So I have registered her for an e-mail address, applied for the sky code and switched her duel fuel.


when i log on to her new e-mail account there is nothing there - empty. I tried to send an e-mail but came back This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account. yet when i sent one to myself from mums email account - I received it all right.


problem now is - the switch fuel co has sent an email and I have received it - yet I definitetly put my mums e-mail address on the application, but I received the confirmation.


As I say a bit of a muddle - how do I sort this?


Just register a new e-mail address for my mum, and somehow tell the duel fuel company, and heavens knows how i will sort the sky code, but thank goodness I took a note of it.


Can anyone throw some light on this muddle? Many thanks.

Just a thought, you are not getting mixed up with .com and co.uk on yahoo are you? I believe it should be .co.uk as i know mine is.

When registering I completed it as .co.uk but when it registered it came up with .com, so just took it.

but really good thinking,:T:beer::T when i sent an email to myself using my mums account - it just comes up with her name and nothing after it ie; .com or .co.uk

Should I just try and register again, and try and let fuel energy company know. They already have my e-mail address which is how i received the confirmation of switch.

I have gave up on trying to switch myself (haha) as system overload, but got a sky code for my mum but due to email muddle - no confirmation email received but I have the code just no e-mail, so wanted to try and retrieve it somehow.

Sorry, just had a look at the text i received asking to put in a code;

its from uk.r.yahoo.com - what the ???? is this - cant seem to find anything on google for this.


strange thing was when i tried to find out why no emails being received; a certain page came up and then the words all starting falling off the page. then a blue page so shut down and restarted, and everything has been fine since, but can't help wondering.?????

Try logging in to her acct with .co.uk. If it still does not work just call the energy co. with the new email address.

With regards to the sky promo you have the code but they are emailing a link tomorrow to sign up. I can send you a private message with the email address link tomorrow if you like when it comes through.
