Lloyds ===> Halifax - switch allowed ?

Have just opened a Lloyds Classic current account, with the intention of switching to Halifax, to get £125 bonus.

BUT, just realised that they are both part of LLoyds group.. oops.

Do I need to re-think my plan ?

Thanks

I switch from bank of scotland to lloyds no problem, was no bonus at the time though
  • Going from Lloyds to Halifax to earn the bonus is fine. You cannot switch from Bank of Scotland to Halifax to earn the bonus.

Sure you can switch from Lloyds to Halifax as they are two separate banks under the lloyds banking group umbrella...

as long as you haven't already had an incentive since January 2012, you are good to go,

you don't even need a new account or DD just a account elsewhere you are willing to switch and close down, so existing customers can apply too.

    Sorry badger,didn't explain myself properly.
Not to halifax, to other banks.with incentive?
Already got Halifax Reward.(joint) Switched Nationwide joint a couple of months ago, £200, special offer.
Also, wife hasn't got Club a/c,so can I upgrade one of my Vantage to club, same as before and make it joint.?
Utilise it that way,£5k, and move the £1500 from Club>Club, and set 2 DD's with my Tesco A/cs.?
Leaving just one spare vantage, to switch if possible

Yes you can switch from Lloyds to Halifax and qualify for the switch.

Did you know also you can switch from IF to Halifax and also get the switching incentive?

You cannot switch from BOS to Halifax to get the incentive, however you could switch from BOS to a different bank (eg Nat West) and then switch that accoun to Halifax

if you have already had an incentive from the halifax since January 2012, then you wouldn't be eligible for the current offer.

Thanks Guys, "but" I don't want Halifax I want another bank, Coop etc that has an incentive..
I have already switched a Nationwide A/c to Halifax as I stated,a few months ago..so Halifax is a nono.
I presume that if you can switch Lloyds Vantage to Halifax then I can switch my Lloyds Vantage to any bank with an incentive..?????
I also have 3x TSB Enhance A/cs.sitting idle.
Can they be used as a switch for incentive.??
    if so, where to???
