So I apply for PIP - get no points, Mandatory Review 0 points - send papers to tribunal for paper review as too ill to attend.

I get my report from my psychiatrist today - its extensive as its a part paid for report from my pension company for potential injury benefit plus he is my 4 year treating psychiatrist and needed to complete an extensive NHS assessment anyway due to my deteriorating condition. Basically - I'm a lunatic, no chance of working at moment and max able to do is small local stress free part time job. I used to earn £80,000 so significant loss.

Anyway .... Me thinks ... This will really help my PIP tribunal as it deals with every aspect of my condition - not just work - so I call the Court to say Im sending in further report and they say " it was decided today !! " result in the post

What bad bl00dy luck ! I'm actually laughing about it ( as I've had wine tonight ) :)

As someone who deals a lot with MH claims paid reports for work bear little relevance (some weight)

It's purely about writing to hit discriptors and rightly or wrongly its competence in this area alone.

I'm pretty good at doing these now as a CPN but it doesn't mean my patients are more capable of work or needing care than 2 Years ago when I didnt write to them.

    Sad fact but true

Working or not it's nowt to do with PIP

Thanks but its my NHS psychiatrist of 4 years not a " paid for or bought " report

The extensive report deals with lots of the pip descriptors due to the severity of my mental health condition not just about work

It's a paid for report with an outcome in mind. You may not see that but it's true

Why would a cant work for damages report detail care needs to PIP?

Because it just happened to coincide with my treatment regime and I had to be fully assessed again last week by both the psychiatrist and psychologist due to significant deteriation in my condition and a care plan has been set out.

It also happens to deal with my work aspects as my condition is deeply entraunched with past work experiences - hence being 4 pages long. My psychiatrist is not only highly educated ( far more qualifications than most ) he is also the director of the county for mental health - so Im lucky to get him. Ive also been allocated the managing psychologist as well as my condition is extremely complex.

I do know what you mean though about private almost " hired gun " reports that can be commissioned by getting someone off the internet. Ive always wondered so its interesting to hear your view - thanks :)

If you are refused PIP then you can put in an immediate new application sending in your new additional information.

Hope you've kept a copy of your application :)
