Available in the UK from 30th September. It can be pre-ordered on Amazon's website now with free delivery.

Fairly low screen resolution of 1024x600, only 1GBytes of RAM and the up to 7 hours battery life isn't great. But not bad for £50.

Very low resolution screen I'd say. Might be a bit tougher than other tablets, but considering you're locked into Amazon's FireOS rather than proper Android, I'd rather be looking for a second hand 7 inch tablet like the second Nexus 7 or the second Asus MeMoPad.
  • Yes I did not think about the RAM also Amazon dont show the RAM on the specs on the Amazon website but it is shown on the gsmarena website.

I have a Kindle fire 6 and Hudl 2 but looking for a 10 inch tablet next so maybe I need 2GB RAM or do I buy the Fire HD 10 which is £169 but only 1GB RAM

Really disappointed. Only 1gb on the 10 inch. Why would you bother?
