Just received a couple of cheques through post (to my old address) from a company called Tresso Management Support Solutions. The amounts are small £8:23 & £7:32. The explanation is that these relate to extended warranties 100% cash back that I apparently purchased between 1998 & 2001 and the company who serviced them PowerPlan Company Limited are now in liquidation and these are sums of money owing to me according to liquidators The MacDonald Partnership plc. Not sure if these are genuine or some sort of scam. Anyone had any similar experience?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm not sure what scam sending someone a cheque could be?
I would pay them in as worse case they bounce.0 -
Didn't someone else post recently about this same thing?0

I'm not entirely sure. But do vaguely recall buying some electricals from them when they were on high street years ago.0

I too have received a cheque and it is in connection with Scottish power scheme but the point that worries me is that it mentions that individually you have to connect Tresso to agree fees and expenses, cheques are for small amounts which is why I am also a bit suspect of receiving a cheque from a company registered in South Africa because of tax reasons ????0
