Chubb Alarm Query

We have just moved into an office that has a Chubb Alarm system. We have the code and all the sensors seem to work. We want to activate it but Chubb say we have to pay for a new system because "it might not work". Is there a way we can just get it going? We are not too concerned about it calling anyone, we just want an alarm to sound. Any ideas?

First thing to try/practice is to silence the alarm.

Then set it to ON and try moving about.

If it triggers then it works, and you can quickly silence the thing.
