  • Good choice , Punta Prima is lovely, buses about every hour i think into Mahon and you can walk everywhere once your there..
The little snack bar right on the corner is good for light lunches or a selection of restraunts along the sea front and all of them good.Car is handy if you want to explore some of the more remote beaches but Punta Prima beach should keep you happy, some nice swimming from the rocks just a few 100yds along the coast.Enjoy.

Thanks Luke . How long is the bus into Mahon

  • About 20 mins from memory. Takes you to the main bus station and from there it's a straight walk down through the main shopping street down to the harbour.
  • It's a lovely little town. We stayed at the Hotel sur Menorca in June, which is just outside the town. They have a big waterpark next door, which is open to non-guests for 20Euro pp (12Euro child). This is a fab day out, but be warned the water is salt water not chlorinated!

The bus to Mahon takes about 25mins, easy journey and air con bus! Mahon is a lovely town, lots of walking around though, and a bit hilly so may be tough on DGD. There are boat tours around the harbour area, which we really enjoyed.

    Have a great holiday

Oh it's a fab hotel, we loved our stay. There was nightly entertainment by the staff held in the waterpark after hours, some questionable but a couple of fun nights! Food is lovely, and lots of it. Staff are great too. Oh and I presume you know that the waterpark is free for guests. Only negative things we found about the hotel was the shower enclosure was tiny in the room, and the wifi connection was tempramental!

The bus to Mahon goes from the hotel itself, and the hotel has a free minibus to Punto Primo hourly, if you don't want to walk it.
