I found winter tyres to have a slight amount of movement when turning in. Almost like the tyres pressures where softer. (Caveat being my only experience was in a V50 and Vauxhall Zafira, I never drove a Sprinter on winters)

Winters also disintegrate when temperatures rise if the vehicle is driven remotely hard. They left them on through summer on several Zafiras at my old job as somebody had "re appropriated" several complete sets of summer tyres/wheels.

From speaking to a fitter the record was the outside edge of a tyre torn to shreds in little over a week.

I was selling the car I had Winters on so didn't bother buying summers and the extra wear was clearly evident in the shoulders.

But if you lived in a place that had lots of rain and that never got that hot, say parts of Scotland, they would be a godsend purely because of how good they are in the wet and the way they deal with standing water.
