    Morning all

Been raining all night but seems to be clearing up now, off to work for me at the quieter site which will be quite nice.

I have contacted the lady re noodles and told her she needs to find her an alternative home asap, she really is a lovely dog but needs people that don't work, she has come on so well this last week and I really feel like im letting her down and giving up on her :( she just needs more than we can give her.

Chips for dinner tonight possibly with kiev and beans, will go and have a look after this.

Judi so sorry to hear about your mum, big hugs love xx

    Have good days all xx

    Hi everyone,

Judi, TA and everyone else having a hard time, I hope your day is as good as it can be.

Dumpling, I love haggis, but I've only ever eaten it in restaurants, I wouldn't prepare it at home because DH is squeamish about offal. I don't mind because he will eat most things.

Well, it's just over a week to DD's wedding. I will have a full house this time next week and at the moment it's a tip! DH still needs to finish plastering the living room which is causing everything to be really dusty.

I'd better get on, have a good day.

Dinner tonight pork chops, mash and veg
    Have a great day
  • Good morning everyone.

Judi and TA you are in my thoughts.
HH pleased to hear your good news
RR I think you have done a fantastic thing and shouldn't feel you have let Noodles down
Gers glad your car passed it's MOT.

It is alternating between grey and sunny here but as the forecast said it would be a good day I have put my first load of washing on the line. Second load in the machine.

Since the twins went back to school I have had to look after my daughters kitten. She is only four months old and suffered terrible separation anxiety when my daughter went back to school. She follows me everywhere and is, as I type, sitting on my arm. I don't really mind but I has meant I am having to adapt my routines slightly and have to be really careful when walking about as she seems to always walk near my feet.

Today I'm planning on giving youngest son's bedroom a good clean. He is very tidy so I just need to pull all the furniture out move his guitars and have a vacuum and dust and give the windows a good clean. I will also have to lean out of the window and cut back the ivy as it is making it difficult to open and shut his window.

I'm planning on doing chicken kebab skewers for tea with a salad and new potatoes.

Hope everyone has a good day x

White Sage - clingy kittens are a pain in the rear! I trained as a feline behaviourist so drop me a line if you'd like some suggestions to help her become a more independent, grown up cat (although I don't always follow my own advice!).

My bannocks are made, I've baked bread, the WM is on and I'm drying clothes on the airer. I've even done some studying. Still waiting for @mazon to deliver so I can start seeking out the cat pee lurking in the living room. Willie Wonka is feeling very sorry for himself after being wormed last night - next time he's due a dose I'll do the tuna paste trick with a tablet as he really is very subdued. I may have to snuggle with him on the couch till he's feeling better ;)

I usually do crafts in the afternoon and would like to spin or quilt but neither of those like to be interrupted so I think I'm going to rip out a knitted blanket I've been working on and am not happy with. I'm all for fresh beginnings :)

  • Afternoon, ((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one, especially TA and Judi. Sorry to hear about your Mum Judi.

We had to get up early this morning OH made an appointment to have his ears syringed at 9.10. he forgot we now have at least 20 minutes drive in to the Drs.

Whilst he was in the Drs I went to Morrison. I have started my 'winter store cupboard' stuff in both the cupboards and also the freezer in the sewing room.

I left laundry in the washer so hung it out when we got back, the wind is blowing so hopefully it will dry. We did not get the rain yesterday, we might get it tonight.

We lit the fire just before supper last night, the chimney seems to be drawing better, I let it out about an hour before we went to bed. I have cleaned the fire out and re-laid it.

OH has done an hour in the garden, we have at last divided the penstemon, it has made 4 plants, two in the herbaceous bed and two in the front. We are out all day tomorrow so saturday if its reasonable we will sort out and plant the bulbs.

Hugs to Judi and glad to hear better news TA.

Confusing day as I woke up early expecting my dd to arrive with a van to collect some furniture. Eventually I phoned her and it will now be next Friday. Raced around tidying the house as we had a viewing at one o clock. I made myself a quick omelette just before twelve and was just about to tidy the kitchen worktop of plate etc when I heard a car draw up outside.

Turns out it was the family to view the place.

I explained I had expected them later but please to ignore the dishes and just come in. Fortunately everywhere else was reasonably tidy. I think they need a quick move because of schools so left a message with lawyer re probate and waiting for a reply.

EA phoned to say the viewing on Saturday was cancelled as they thought the other side of the town was less busy for traffic. Boy are they in for a shock ;)

Going to have a cup of tea to restore myself after all the excitement.

    Hester

Well done on the weight loss. I should have gone last night but was busy clearing ready for viewing so phoned the consultant and left a message.

    Hugs to all

All seems to be well with Mom. She is drinking but eating little. As far as i am concerned, as long as she is still eating (allbeit a small amount) she's not giving up yet.

My brother will be with her sometime today and my Auntie (Moms older sister) will be visiting today today.

Did i tell you she nearly gave me a black eye? No i dont think i did. The carers told me how she punches and pinches them when they move her (because of pressure sores) well last night i went to move her up the bed as she had slipped down and up came the fist and i ducked. Then she opened her eyes saw it was me and unclenched her fist. I shant be doing that again in a hurry!
Taken last night. Looks so peaceful but she's got a mean left hook!

My daughter has gone back to South Africa today, still unable to sort out her South African visa. Its been one problem after another. She's not getting any joy over here so she is going to try again from the SA side. She is missing her boy and partner Kim.
    They are now reunited.

  • @mazon delivered the light and cleaning fluid. The little flashlight was excellent and showed a number of soiled areas so my mother and I have treated them with the fluid (dead easy - spray on, leave, blot off) and hopefully that will be the end of the problem. I shall be keeping an eye on Willie Wonka for a while!

And now I can sit and spin till dinner time :)

  • Good evening everyone,

Well today was much, better than yesterday, I have a load dried on the washing line today.

Judi, sorry to hear about your Mum, thinking of you.
HH well done on the weightloss.
TA thinking of you and DH.

Well had a good day at work, DH and DS are both out working for the evening - not together. DD is revising for tests tomorrow, so I am wondering whether to go to the gym to try a pilates class.

Trouble is I need to do some tidying up, I have a pile of ironing and I really should make a loaf of bread. I will have to decide shortly though.

Hugs to everyone and I hope you all have a good evening.:)
