Hi
I had a micro bore gas central heating system. I had an architect redesign the interior of my bungalow he recommended getting the system piped up the walls. The floors are concrete. My builder recommended a company. Work started early July and halted when the employees were off sick. After phone calls and emails they came back 21 August for two days and got half of my system running. They have finished now and are waiting for me to pay them.
I have noticed that three radiator do not have drain valves all the radiators pipes have been channelled into the walls (except two bathrooms where they have to fit plastic ducting over ) the pipes all run up to the loft.
One other radiator the last one that they fitted - the valve actually sticks out from a vertical pipe at 90 degrees. I will take a photo .
Should all of the radiators have a drain valve?
Why is the drain valve at 90 degrees
I have had words with the company owner regarding the delay, disruption and also a leaking radiator. I have had enough of dealing with them really but I cannot get my head around this latest problem with them .

You usually need a drain valve if the radiator is at the bottom of a loop, so if the pipes come down the wall to the rad & back up again there should be a drain valve. Sometimes they are integral with the valve, sometimes separate. They should obviously be a the lowest point in the loop.
No pictures.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
