Xbox 360 Is Dead! :(

Hi my xbox 360 died recently (dreaded 3 lights) which means hardware failure, i was hoping to get some advice about sending it off to repair, do i need to send a letter with it, what exactly i need to send them, where to send it to etc

help would be greatly appreciated

    just call the M$ helpline and they will advise whats needed.
    they used ot send out packaging but dont think they do now

    call M$ the number is at the back of your xbox 360 manual..0800 587 1102 they will advise you...they will then send you a email with a label to download and stick on the xbox 360 then a number for UPS you ring UPS they arrange a date and time with you for collection and then after it's been sorted about 14 day's they drop it back off for you...easy...:Djust put the xbox 360 in the box nothing else..sent my sons back ring of death...when it came back it was same one but looked different sounds different and has a 120gb HD instead of the 60gb one...you'll need the serial number on the bottom of the xbox when you phone M$

    When did you buy it? infact it doesn't matter.

    I wouldn't go back to Microsoft as you are covered under the sales of goods act as the Xbox 360 is inherently faulty there are way to many people experiencing the same fault for it not to be. Just return it to the shop you bought it from and don't let them fob you off with returning it to Microsoft. You will get a brand new console, that is hopefully one of the modified systems that now has a 3rd heatsink and modified cooling.

    If you return it to Microsoft you will receive a reconditioned console.

    my serial number is the same as when I sent it away so it's the same console just had the insides replaced that's all...M$ have admitted there is a problem and anyone experiencing these problems will have it fixed free of charge and a 3 year warranty with it when it comes back...:D

    But the shop broke the law selling inherently faulty goods. They are the ones responsible for providing you with goods that are suitable for the purpose intended.

    CW your last post reminds me of the old adage Ive had this yard brush for years, its had 2 new handles and 4 new heads but its the same brush.

    The repaired consoles are still unknown to if they are shipping the modified internals or sending out the older consoles that they have repaired. The case it easy to open on the 360 so keeping the same serial number isn't difficult.
