Picked this up from the NoToMob forum. Another mass ticketing mess to follow on from the UKPC debacle.

    If nothing else, the Hertfordshire Mercury wins an award for the most annoying web site, with the incessant ads rearranging or obscuring the page making it basically unreadable.

    I hate having to follow links to newspaper reports (sorry, I know, but there was no other way of posting this up), and the especially annoying part is when a video kicks off in the middle of the text, which is seemingly uncontrollable, and you find you've got your speaker volume on full. Jump out of my skin at times!

    I like that 'erroneous fines' indeed gives a truth they did not intend.

    You guys seriously need to get some control over the ads you see! And you are right about this site.

    Adblock plus blocks 18 ads on that link AND Ghostery 19 trackers that are blocked, search for both or equally good alternatives and install them for a quieter life!

    Thanks for that James, I've downloaded both, and between them (presumably) they've got rid of the sh!te from that site.

    Look forward to other ad free links to other newspaper sites in future.
