Does anyone know if robin hood are setup to accept smart meter readings. Currently on the BG collective fix that runs out next month so looking around at new suppliers and really want to carry on keeping track of what we use via the smart meter?Olympics Challenge

There is nothing to stop you manually reading the meter at regular intervals; this is what I do and I submit them monthly to my supplier.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

By an amazing coincidence (I assume) the day after I posted about a TPR error preventing RHE from issuing my bills, I got several emails to inform me my bills (going back to early 2016) were now available to inspect. So I logged on and there they were. I'm pleased to see I'm slightly in credit. I wonder if RHE reads this thread?:D Does anyone know?0

Hi everyone!
So I switched to ebico a few months ago to get away from EDF (yay)
Have just recieved an email from them saying that they are leaving SSE and are, instead, joining with Robin Hood Energy.
I am given the choice wether I want to stay with SSE or go along with ebico to Robin Hood.
I don't know what to do to be honest with you all, are these people trustworthy and/or any good?!
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!0 -

The Ebico website gives you some pointers.
It says if on PPM meter, call them for advice.
For credit meter customers:
e.g. RHE will be cheaper than existing SSE tariffs (with a hint the SSE price may rise further!)
But do NOT switch if you get WHD as RHE do not support this.
Whilst customer service & billing will now presumably be supplied by RHE, I know from past experience with Ebico, that if an issue is not resolved promptly with the supply partner, you can contact Ebico directly who will also be on the case for you.
Hopefully they will be just as proactive with RHE, possibly more so since RHE are a similar minded, not for profit supplier who are a lot smaller than SSE to metaphically kick if necessary.0 -
I have been with RHE since September 2015 (shortly after they were launched) for electricity only and I would recommend them. I was originally on a one year fixed tariff that ended in September 2016 and I'm now on their variable rate. The price is very competitive and you submit readings once a month either online or over the phone. I receive my bills by email as a PDF every month and pay by fixed DD every month. Their customer service phone number is a freephone number and I've always managed to get through in a reasonable time. The one problem I had (now resolved) was when my meter needed to be changed (clock drifting excessively.) In the changeover of meter details, the daytime and E7 readings were accidentally swapped over meaning RHE couldn't issue a bill for nearly a year. I don't know if this was the fault of the contractors/company who changed the meter or RHE so I don't know who to be miffed at:) Irrespective of this !!!!-up I would still recommend them as their prices are very competitive, the staff are always pleasant and courteous, billing is monthly and it's all done online. Paper options are available for those who prefer it. Hope that helps.0

Hello
Odd that I cannot find my posts regarding RHE from 2015.
I've been with them since October 2015.
Do not like utility companies making profits and giving dividends to shareholders.
RHE summary: for a long time you could not enter your meter readings online, but giving readings over the phone was painless enough; not RHEs fault, but I cannot get access to my meter, I have to ask the caretaker for a reading, so I don't send readings as often as I would like and that I means I get a lot of reminders to send a meter reading; I did get to see my electric meter once and that is when I discovered that the previous resident in my flat switched around the day and night meter readings and that has remained - I reported it to RHE and they did not want to do anything about it - it's in my favour, but I like to be honest, nevermind.
Was thinking of switching to Fosse Energy, but then I found out that RHE run them - waiting to hear back if there would any advantage to Leicester City Council if I switched.
