I have received a parking charge notice from Smart and will be appealing it, but a word of info for those accessing the Smart website to so so. I have tried three times in the last week to use their appeal button and each time have received the message
"We are unable to process this appeal. Please try again in 24 hours"
It seems to me that their website is set up to allow one to pay the notice, but NOT to appeal, rather to delay any appeal - what a surprise! I warrant the pay process works just fine!
    Is this fair comment?
    Anyone else found this issue?
I intend to appeal in writing, btw!
Thx in advance for any feedback.

This isn't your thread (one case per thread so advice doesn't become confused). You need to start your own after reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, one page back from here.

Smart operate a lot in Scotland - is your case Scotland related?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have recently received a PCN from smart parking in Northwich, I see from your comments you were successful in your appeal. Would it be possible for you to give me a copy of the letter used in the appeal. I have no clue where to begin.
    Many thanks

Start by reading the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal using the BPA template letter in blue contained therein. Copy and paste. Nothing added and nothing taken away.

If you need more help then please start your own thread.

A 2015 appeal would be too old, although to be fair he has shown you the wording used...the important thing is NOT to say who was driving.

Everyone here beats Smart Parking - they are easy to beat as long as you follow the script and appeal as registered keeper (NOT driver, not giving an excuse or story of what happened). Use the template blue writing first appeal in the NEWBIES thread, near the top of the forum.

No link, it's there near the top which is where you shoud be reading. Page one has todays threads and the sticky advice threads, read them and not old 2015 threads with appeals from six months ago!

I have just received an email from smart parking, they have cancelled the fine due to the issues that were raised in the email. Thank you for your advice. My advice to others please read the Newbies thread and follow the advice given don't let these chancers win.
