is there anything you guys can do or not as I wonder if I could take it further or not?
Dear John
Ref: Incident number Xxxxxxxxxxxx
Further to your complaint regarding the damage that you claim was caused to your vehicle whilst in our care, all the information has been shared with our onsite Operations Department who have investigated your concerns.!!
Following our investigation we are unable to accept liability for the damage you claim was caused to your vehicle as this damage is not consistent with the actions of Valet driving. We would not attempt to cover any damage with tipex or any other substance. No repairs would be carried out on anyone's vehicle without the owners prior knowledge. As we do not believe that any negligence of ‘Empark’ has caused this damage to your vehicle, we are unable to assist you further with your request.!!
Again, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.!!
Yours sincerely,!!!!

Tippex, so we are not talking major damage here. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
-
How do you know it was Tippex? If it had been backed into a white post or car it may give that impression.
You appear to have spoken to someone on site at the time, did you get paperwork to substantiate your claim?
I had a similar problem at Heathrow some years ago, they inspected the car on arrival and we signed the documents, prior to leaving we checked found condiderable damage reported and took photos on site.
They did not quibble, and apart from the inconvenience and annoyance everything was sorted.
I have never used valet parking since for this reason.
Have you ever seen some if the low paid articles that they employ to ferry these cars around!0 -
Yes we had some paperwork and the person who took pictures agreed it looks like it's been touched up covering the damage. Then we drove away thinking it would be straight forward to get it all sorted. Then they came back denying liability!
So what can I do?0 -
Did the paperwork you had on first leaving the car confirm that there was no damage?
If it does then it proves they are at fault, if it was substantial you would leave it up to your insurance, but for a small mark it's going to be more hassle than it's worth.
Might be worth just phoning your insurance for their advice without actually getting it on your records though.0 -

Easier said than done.
Once you give them your details, there is a very good chance that they will log the call and mark the policyholder as having a potential claim or incident.0 -

I had a problem where someone backed into my car outside the house and I made sure they did not do this, obviously you can withhold your details but just say you are insured with them.0 -
I have a similar problem with Empark. I left my car with Gatwick Airport North Terminal valet parking for a week and upon return, the bonnet was covered in scratches. I've had to chase Gatwick parking for over three weeks and eventually I've had a reply - that they aren't claiming liability. This is ridiculous. They are claiming the damage was pre-existing when it was obviously (from their own pictures) not there when I dropped it off. How do I argue with a corporation that claims that black is white ? As I dropped the car off early in the morning when it was dark, they have had to have their arrival photographs lightened and they have then spuriously ringed on the photos some reflections and are claiming that they are the same as the damage their firm caused, damage that is in an entirely different place. I'd advise anyone to NOT USE the official Gatwick car parks. I'm personally really dubious about the business practices they follow.0

How do I argue with a corporation that claims that black is white ?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
