Privilege car insurance - any good?

I'm thinking of switching to them, but wondered if they're any good.

What are others' experiences?

Anything I need to watch out for in terms of cover that's expected as standard for instance?

I've used them for a number of years. I always re-check the renewal quotes, but they have always been the best, for me anyway.
I've no experience of claims, but they have been excellent so far.
They give full named driver NCD (for spouse anyway, no experience of others) and did not charge when I changed cars recently.

Very un-fussy about modifications (LPG in my case)

Used them a couple of times. Never had to claim so not sure about that side of their customer service.
A bit old fashioned with technology, asked them to email through the motor certificate as needed it for vehicle tax and they said they could only fax it.
I phoned up to cancel my last insurance with them but it wasn't processed correctly so now I'm fighting to get my money back - it's taken a month so far. I nt be using them again.

Been with them a few times and never had any problems - although have never had to claim so have little experience of that side of them!
They always seem to offer competitive renewal premiums (less than £30 more than cheapest alternative this time)... and then matched it anyway when I phoned them!

I had one of their insured drivers slam into the back of me while I was stationery at a red light.

They sent me a letter saying they looked forward to receiving full payment from me for damage to their client's vehicle.

So I guess at least you know they will do everything they can to avoid you having a fault claim, even if they are completely out of their minds.
