What could cause a rejected credential login failure only on W7 (ok with w10 and Linux) via a browser on an office 365 deployment.

NB the deployment uses ADFS for authentication and also W7 fully patched with optional updates so any authentication updates have been applied.

Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.
