Looking at costs for this November.
By the far the two best quotes are from either Air China or China Southern Airlines.
Anyone have opinions on either of these two airlines, can you get European food on board, would I be better off paying more for a more recognised airline.
Suggestions most appreciated.

Air China is a recognised airline. It's a large company. It's even bigger than British Airways with more aircraft, more destinations and carry more passengers.
Airline food is rubbish anyway. Bring your own if you're that concerned. Browse the internet and read for yourself. They provide a combination of Chinese and Western cuisines... http://www.airchina.com.cn/www/en/html/index/travel_information/onboard_service/special_meals/index.shtml?smartID=50000000000:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

How much more expensive is the 3rd cheapest?
What is the extra cost per flight time hour per person?
Have you checked with trailfinders?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
They are always the cheapest and I wouldn't personally go with any of them. But if price is a major factor then I'm sure you will be fine.

I'm going in December, via Dublin, for £660 ish due to the exchange rate as with going from Dublin it's in euros. Plus if you go through the different flight options one or 2 when going back from Sydney is flying into Heathrow and out of Gatwick/ city airport. I've asked and you pick your bags up so I'm just heading home.:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I've booked flights with China Southern for October, so afraid I won't be able to give you feedback in time.
I spent ages looking for a decent price & flight times and ended up booking directly with the airline. 24 hrs out / 27 hrs back - we were mainly looking a price and timing - as long as they get me there and back safelyIf the foods rubbish, it won't kill me.

Although we had a good flight with Singapore Airlines last September to Brisbane, I decided on Emirates from Birmingham as I live in the Midlands, for the end of March 2016. I could have gone cheaper with Air China, but was happy to pay £860 with Emirates. One stop only, good flight times and good recommendations helped. I'm lucky in that budget isn't the main factor, although I balked at paying over £1000 if I went over Easter!0
