  • Afternoon ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) if you want one.

Thank you for the good wishes after my hospital visit yesterday. Today is the first day of my new life!!

OH brought me my breakfast, I slept through him getting up. He was out in the garden when I got up.

Macaroni cheese prepared for supper, also made 6 small egg custrad tarts, I made too much custard so have made 4 small dishes of custard, also made a pot of leek and lentil soup for lunch. Just put a loaf on.

We are going down to the orchard shortly to see if there are more cooking apples ready. I am starting to put a months worth of food in the cupboards and freezer, living in the Country we need to be prepared for bad weather.

    Right off out.
  • Quite a successful day ...

Bought milk and gave in to Pepsi Max temptation.
    Made my winter prep list.
Found some of the things on the list in the house and have set them aside. The others will be bought/borrowed over the next few weeks.
Had phone call I was waiting for (waste of time with patronising woman but hey ho).
Went to B&Q with the Gnome and my mum (their shopping, not mine).
All came back here where the Gnome did some DIY for me so I now have a working sink in the bathroom and the kitchen tap is fixed.
Ordered blacklight and urine remover from @mazon as my mum and I both think the living room smells of cat pee but we can't find the problem area. Not blaming William-cat for this (yet!) as it could of been my elderly Sammy-cat who had kidney failure. Whether William is topping up the scent remains to be seen ... If necessary I'll put my Feline Behaviourist hat on and we'll have a wee chat ;)

Determined to make it through to a reasonable bed time but really running low on energy now. Time to curl up with a book or do some spinning I think :)

Hope everyone else is having a good day?

  • Evening all. Got back from my Skipton jaunt around 5.00, just in time to make Mr TA a bit of tea. I was annoyed to see he had lapsed on his snack and Fresubin consumption without me nagging at him all day! Naughty naughty. I'll be back on watch tomorrow!

I had a lovely day out and summer had returned. It was so warm in the sunshine we had to carry our jackets. I treat myself to a few bits - a floaty scarf, a rather nice necklace, a book from a CS and some oil for my Ashleigh & Burwood lamp burner. We had a lovely lunch (Lasagne for me) and shared a bottle of wine. We never stopped talking the whole day and I feel much better for escaping my worries, if only for a day.

Feet up now and will try and keep awake for the Bake Off. Have a nice evening everyone xx

  • Good evening everyone.

Well today has been a really awful day it has poured with rain all day! I have loads of washing hung up indoors to dry, and have to admit to putting the heating on for a while this evening to try to get it dry. I really hate having to have the heating on so early.

csarina - such good news for you.
Mrs TA - glad you had a nice day
HH sorry to read about your GN.

I'm sorry I can't remember all the other news, but hugs to everyone and hope tomorrow is not so wet!!
