Lots of good information at the moment about all the cashback incentives to move current accounts .
2 queries ....
A lot is being made of " monthly salary pay in " ... does it have to be an earned salary ? ... or what if you don't have a job .. but have say get rent from buy to let ? ..... or no income at all but able to have a lump sum paid in by standing order by partner etc ?
Direct debits .... i'm not seeing any details for each bank .. or summary , of whether direct debits HAVE to be moved ..or not .
Important if thinking of opening two accounts..and only have a couple of dd's .
I've been looking at the First Direct detail .. can't see anything about DD's but then thought i'd seen some postings here saying there had to be ?.
The changing of current accounts is a big topic .. with lots of great incentives ... but need really "idiot proof" details in order to make correct decisions.
thanks

It is First Direct who determine the terms & conditions under which they will pay a switch incentive, not people who post on here;)pennymakespounds wrote: »but need really "idiot proof" details in order to make correct decisions.

The only "idiot proof" details are those contained in the terms & conditions set out by each bank for the specific account you want to open and/or switch to.0
