Our son's bond finishes at the end of this month (think we got 6% on it). Where should we put that money now (they are not offering anywhere near that much now)...

Remember that if a parent provides the capital and the money is invested outside a tax privileged account like the JISA/CTF, then the £100 rule needs to be borne in mind.
