claiming back PPI on a business account

Is it possible to claim back PPI on a barclays business account ? I am a sole trader so the a/c reads my name T/A co name. thanks for any help with this I'm new to claiming

    Sorry not clear how you would have PPI on a business account, what payments would it have been protecting, did you have loans or an overdraft.

    Why do you believe the PPI was miss-sold to you?
  • They implied that it was necessary in order to be accepted for the loan.
    being as I was self employed I'm not sure it would have paid out.

    It may well of been mandatory. Business borrowing frequently comes with insurance conditions. That is allowed.

    Plus, BLRI is designed to cover the self employed (and most PPI does actually cover the self employed fine too - its a significant minority that does not).

    By all means make the complaint. Loan PPI has a high uphold rate. However, your reasons are a bit on the weak side as if it was mandatory they can reject your complaint and if it wasnt then there will be no evidence to show it was and they can decline that point. However, there are things they will look at that could lead to an uphold decision without you even being aware of an issue im that area.
