UKPC Fine, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Hi guys,
I have read and re-read the sticky for newbies and it instructs to keep the letters but to ignore them for Northern Ireland/Scotland.
Today I received my first letter from the debt collectors (DRP) and I am just wondering …… do I carry on ignoring them?
Details:
Car parked in a retail park in Belfast on 7th July after 6pm.
First UKPC letter arrived on 6th August and a second (final reminder) arrived on the 21st August.
Debt Recovery Plus (DRP) letter has arrived today for a whooping £160.00 with a 23rd Sept cut-off date before court action will be taken to recover the fee.
I have made no contact with the landowners or with UKPC/DRP. Anyone got experience of Northern Ireland scenarios from here on or words of advice?
Thanks guys.

I'd wager that the DRP letter does not say "will" but "may" in relation to court action.
Just keep ignoring...
In any case, UKPC have bigger problems at the moment, since their operatives have been proved to be falsifying time stamp data on pictures used to support the issue of PCNs...0 -
Oh wow. Seems then that I'm a small fish in a bigger s**t filled pool then.
The letter does say "will" advise so I'll keep my head down for now.
Thanks a million for getting back to me so quickly, I really appreciate it.

'Will advise the PPC to pursue you' is far, far different than 'Wiil pursue you' in court.
If DRP hand this back to UKPC, they relinquish any prospect they might have had in earning anything (about 15%) from you should they have managed to apply enough frighteners. Luckily you came here.
They will write again, then they pass your file across the desk to Zenith (DRP in another guise) to have another go, even using scary red ink on some letters. Just ignore the idiots - and do NOT be tempted to phone either - or UKPC for that matter.
It will all fade away in about 6 months. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Cheers for that Umkomaas. Guna bury my head and not rise to these tyrants of paper threats.
I appreciate all your words of wisdoms guys.0 -
All excellent advice, and being from NI myself I can assure you 100% that the letters are all bluff and bluster designed to frighten you into handing your money over to them.
Post 7 in the following link shows you the letter chain used by UKPC, be particularly wary of the "solicitors" letter you will receive, again nothing but hot air and idle threats.

Remember no PPC has ever taken anyone in N. Ireland to court, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and ignore, ignore, ignore.

Thanks for that Seven Towers. I'll wait with anticipation for my next letter so I can file it with my other recycling stuff.0

Hi guys,
Quick update on my "claim" for you. Today I received a letter from Zenith Collections which states a Notice Of Intention To Commence Legal Proceedings should I not pay the reduced fee.
From 7th July to now is persistent anyway, I'll give their autobot program that.
Keeping steady on my path of ignoring.0 -
