    Happy for you!

Yes, I definitely think the mental/physical benefits of the job (good-seeming team, remote working, etc) will definitely make up for the pay (which will realistically only affect our pension contributions, not our take-home amounts).

One bonus (?) is that I went to both interviews with a crutch and mentioned my current mobility issues, so at least it's a known thing from the get-go. (Bad timing with current job as symptoms started 3 weeks into the job and got worse from there.)

Feeling surprisingly decent today, given the fatigue of the weekend. Hoping that's a good sign for commuting to work regularly for the first few weeks.

Thank you! Yes, getting in for the interviews was a bit tricky, but I think it'll be manageable short-term. We'll see how it goes.
  • Huge congratulations on the new job x

Just catching up. Congratulations on the job :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
