Morning :hello:

Lovely photos of your squirrel Gers :) I'm quite jealous :D

redruby Sorry your FIL has let you down :( I really hope you can get something permanent sorted, if not then you'll still have played a huge role in helping her xx Not that it helps, but my dad has the same bad attitude about us having a dog and I'm home almost all the time  Do you have a rescue centre nearby? Ours does boarding too, £10 per day for day boarding. Scampi was nervous in the rescue area, but fine in the boarding area because you can choose to take your own bedding and toys, and they asked about his feeding habits (what food do you give him, is he a grazer or does he have set times for meals) then they stick to his routine as much as possible with walks, etc. They'll also administer meds, obviously you have to supply those yourself.

Rain stopped play yesterday, Scampi got bored and decided to spend the day barking at everything to entertain himself. I was not amused. Doubt the neighbours were either – I think I made more noise trying to shut him up than he did actually barking :rotfl:

I made a ton of cheesy mash then baked the potatos peelings and the chickens feasted on them :D

It looks like another miserable day here so the washing will be dried indoors. I'll have to put the airer upstairs, mr tru has been sorting and chopping chillis. They're in the dehydrator at the moment, downstairs smells amazing but I don't want my clothes to smell like that thanks :D I'll do some batch cooking today, see what food I have left then do an online order. I'll fit in a walk between downpours this morning, then see how the day goes. Quietly with no barking please :D

Hugs and positive vibes to Hester, TA,RR and Camelot.

One of my dds has a job interview today so crossing fingers and toes for her. I managed to wrestle youngest's dressing gown and a few bits and pieces into a plastic posting bag and will take it to York to post when I see older dd and treat her to cinema or a healthy lunch.

I realised there are likely to be power problems this winter and middle dd asked me to make sure I had candles etc.

Not sure she realises I have gas hob that should work without electric ignition, tealights, wind up torches, hot water bottles, a kettle that will go on the gas hob and a magic cooker that works like a slow cooker but does not use electric.

I also ordered some solar indoor lamps and will give one to each dd for their houses.

Estate agent phoned and we have house viewers on Thursday and Saturday.:j

Going to rush for the bus.

Lots of hugs to all

Tell me more, please tired mum?

It's pay day for me (I should say pension day but that makes me feel a lot older than 42!) so I've been shopping for clothes (not anything exciting - socks and things), toiletries and a birthday present for the Gnome (my father).

The cleaner's been while I was out so the house is looking good but I'm going to have a look at the FlyLady thread when I'm done playing and having a cuppa - cleaner only does two hours a week so there's still plenty for me to occupy myself with :)

• Afternoon all,

HH - Sad news :(

Camelot - That's a lovely thing to do. What a nice way to remember your beloved.

Sorted out the Caravan renewal this morning and did some quotes for the house and contents insurance which is due next month. Popped up to see my dad this morning as it's his birthday. He is like a little kid, bless him, counting how many cards he's got!!

Took a couple of books back to the library and got some more. I do so love the library - it's like an Aladdins cave of good things.

Bit annoyed at work, they gave me the dates for a two day course next month, came home to check the calendar only to find out they are on a Saturday. I won't be doing that!

Meatballs and Pasta for dinner.

:)

Afternoon all,

Hester....sorry to hear about your great niece and DDs OH.

Csarina.....hope that you have had good news today and that OH will shake off the dizzies again.

Ruby...hope that you can work out some way to keep your dog....how quickly we become attached to them!

Have a good day Camelot.

TA...can understand where you are with DS....they never stop being our children. Hopefully his GF will cop on and that he will be able to stay strong.

Snoozer....have never tried rosemary in apple jelly....what proportions do you use, and do you use cloves as well?. Not making crab jelly this year as DD1 has volunteered to do so.

Treated us to some duck breast for dinner, OH has just informed that he doesnt want any dinner......will murder that man with his fussy eating one of these days!

No rain today so clothes dried...not sure if I should put out the lot that is just finished.... might be safer to put them on the clothes horse.

Enjoy the rest of your day

Marie,

I've not done it before either - the recipe just says a handful of rosemary infused into the juice after it's been strained and then put a sprig into the jar as it's being potted. It doesn't mention cloves and I can't stand them so I wouldn't do that.
• Back from the hospital, quick appointment this time, everything has settled down top and bottom wires working as they should, heart rate very good, so I can now resume normal life, but no hang gliding or jumping out of planes at 30,000ft!! Shame. Just have to persuade the children that I am not on the brink of meeting my maker, life expectancy at least 20 years........cannot be bad!!
• Great news Csarina
Chin up, Titus out.
