Advice please.
Looking to go wireless at home, done a lot of reading.
'G' standard appears to be tried, tested and proven.
'N' standard appears to offer faster speeds but mixed reports on its reliability and basic ability to work.
Would appreciate the benefit of your personal experiences, brands, models etc.
Would like to buy something that I am not going to want to upgrade in 6 months time.

G is an official recognised standard.
N has not been ratified as a standard yet so its know as 'Draft N' - all N rated equipment should be treated as propietary - ie you can only use devices from one manufacturer.
Although people are reporting their N kit gives them stronger signals spread more evenly.
Just make sure you buy your router and network card from same manufacturer.
