Parcelforce is harassing me.

Options
Almost 6 months ago, I sent a parcel through this fraud company to destination country ABC. After couple of weeks, the parcel came back to me with a note that the address was incorrect but I was shocked when I found my items worth less than £800 were missing. I submitted the claim to them but unfortunately during the claim process due to computer virus a different file of receipt of same type of items but different models was submitted to them. Due to the nature of item I had to post the it's original receipts to its new owner ergo I don't have the original receipt because at time of original purchase I paid in cash. Now instead of accepting that they stole customers' goods in transit they are accusing me of submitting false information to support my claim. And threatening me to prosecute me. They have already conducted my interview. Plus, I have offered them to inspect my laptop and tablet because it was a genuine glitch. Which they have happily taken from me. I am already patient of IBS & PTSD. And due to all this circuis created by them I am suffering extra mental torture.
Additional Note: Last month, I ordered some toys for my nephew from USA but at point of delivery day parcelforce claimed that they attempted to deliver the parcel at my address but nobody was at home whereas I was at home. So I submitted a strong complaint to their CEO. His office conducted the investigation and apologised to me that their driver went at wrong address on the other day because they have checked his GPS data. + In relation to my original claim to parcelforce, I sent my last email to them almost 2 months ago in which I described that how much I am disappointed from the poor quality service & stealing my content from the parcel. And now it seems like that parcelforce is taking some revenge from me.

Please can you insert some paragraphs and new lines, it's hard to read a wall of text :)

If I'm reading it right you
Sent a parcel via Parcel force overseas - Where?
It was worth "less than £800" - did you have it insured and correctly declared (customs form filled out etc).
It was returned to you as "undeliverable" due to the address not existing - that suggests it probably got as far as a local delivery office at the destination country (and thus out of PF's hands although it would still have been insured if coverage had been taken out).
The contents of the package were missing - Did the package show any signs of being tampered with (and if so did you inform the person that delivered it back to you).
When you submitted a claim due to a virus the wrong receipt copy was sent - what virus and what receipt was sent? (I've not heard of a virus doing that before)
You do not have the original receipt to submit and paid cash for the item - so not even a card receipt to help prove the item ever existed if there is a query.
You accused PF of fraud and theft.
They investigated and are now suggesting you may have committed fraud.

It's late so I'm not exactly firing on all 4 cylinders but from where I'm sitting it appears that the lack of original receipt, sending the receipt for the wrong item/model (for whatever reason) and not having any sort of paperwork/paper trail for the item's purchase is going to be ringing all sorts of alarm bells at any courier firm as unfortunately people do try to claim fraudulently for loss/damage/theft from package.

I'm going to guess the item was a mobile phone or similar?

Unfortunately I suspect your allegations of fraud/theft aimed at PF depending on when you started making them are unlikely to be helping your case (if nothing else PF will have had no control over how the item was handled in customs at the destination country*, and would have relied on a foreign partner service for the final delivery and thus for much of it's transport would have been out of PF's direct control).

*IIRC there are a few countries that are pretty well known for the likes of customs officials to be poorly monitored/corrupt and to have a much higher than normal loss of packages.
  • You sent incorrect proof 'due to a rogue computer virus' therefore you have no proof.

    Your excuse sounds very dodgy.

I would advise you to stop mentioning computer viruses and health problems.

The former are unlikely to be provable and the latter are irrelevant.

Also, get your excuses sorted out: Do you not have an original receipt because you sent it with the item or because you paid in cash?

"Plus, I have offered them to inspect my laptop and tablet because it was a genuine glitch. Which they have happily taken from me."

Are you saying they have physically taken possession of your laptop?

Due to the nature of item I had to post the it's original receipts to its new owner ergo I don't have the original receipt because at time of original purchase I paid in cash.

First you say you mistakenly submitted the wrong receipt with your claim, then you say you don't have a receipt because it was sent with the item. Why would you have even attempted to submit a receipt if you knew you didn't have one because you had already sent it with the item?

Your 'story' has more holes than Swiss cheese, no wonder they're accusing you of committing fraud.

  • Dosent make sense. Far too much detail missed out.

Are the police involved, is that who interviewed you and took your laptop etc?
  • Oh how I miss Jackanory - but this is a close second.

You can't prove Parcel Force stole it.
You did supply false information which you admit to.

Here's an emoticon to show how Parcel Force are dealing with your request::rotfl:

Does this rouge virus which sends dodgy receipts to parcelforces claims department have a name?

In fact you go onto say that Parcelforce took your laptop away for inspection - I'll eat my own hat if that's true.

Firstly, on what grounds would parcelforce have to take your laptop away? Bearing in mind parcelforce is just Royal Mail in disguise, they have about as much legal power to take your laptop away as I do

Secondly, what are they doing to do with it exactly? Do they have their own CSI team?

Bloody hell OP what a load of s**t! If you're going to claim harassment from Parcelforce (lol) you could at least make up a half decent story.

I'm guessing we won't be seeing OP back, unless it's to post how they didn't expect to be challenged by such unhelpful people...
