Printing Large photograph

Options
I have a 5MB JPEG file which is a photograph of a Coastal village taken from a boat. It is landscape orientation.

I want to get this printed professionally about A3 size.

Does anyone know an organisation that will be able to print this size photo?

I tried Snapfish website but it was a disaster! when uploaded onto their site it firstly displayed in portrait and when rotated 90 degrees it wouldn't show the whole photo.

Thanks

PhotoBox should be able to do that for you.

I'm happy to enlarge the file for you so it has A3 dimensions and do any rotation etc. That would allow you to try Snapfish again. I can also give you an opinion on how well I think it will print at that size.

Send me a PM if I can help.

On their site can you choose between portrait and landscape before uploading the picture?.

A branch of Snappy Snaps might be able to do this for you.

  • Do staples still do in store printing?

  • PhotoBox is the best bet. If you have not used them before, simply sign up and you should be able to get a free A3 print as a reward for registering. You will have to pay for delivery.

Another vote for photobox here, I've used and can recommend them. And if you're lucky, there's usually a discount offer available.

Could be the aspect ratio - your photo dimensions may not scale exactly to a paper size. If you want to play around on your PC, try Irfanview (freeware) and use the resize/resample option (A3 is 420x297mm).

    Thanks.

That appears to be the problem. I went to Boots with a large in-store printing facility and despite the assistance of the manager they could only get it onto a 10"x 8" sheet with the vertical dimension being 6.5". It wouldn't upscale to A3
