In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. It's a strange situation when I post a topic, sometime mistakenly tries to correct me, and a bunch of people then jump to his defence. I didn't ask for any of that.
I know for sure you learned something about sitting tenants, it's a shame you didn't acknowledge that.
G_M was correct, so he did not need correcting. Not correcting you is a cross we have to bear.0 -

Yeah let's just skip over the fact that he tried to correct me even though my use was entirely correct in context.
I agree he is a very helpful forum member, but next time he screws up and tries to calls me out on something I'll react again.
By the way, his posting history confirms that he is super junior in the field of housing. Just a few years back he was asking hilariously novice questions about house buying and renting. So let's not pretend he's some all-knowing deity. It's perfectly ok for him to have gaps in his knowledge.0 -
I think buyers innovative enough to consider such a approach will know what the record means.0

Anybody else got any insults? Keep 'em coming.
Isn't it funny how someone can ask a question, get "corrected" by a forum member, prove that they in fact they did not make a mistake and then be subject to a bunch of abuse?
I'm sure none of you behave like this when you're not in front of your computer.0 -

you used a word in a context which you believed others would understand and therefore apply "your" definition of said word, but when someone else pointed out that the definition is capable of other interpretations and "your" context is often misinterpreted, you have totally overreacted to a "correction" which does nothing more than let forum users know that there are several ways of looking at things0 -

oh get over yourself

But that's not how the "correction" was delivered at all, is it? There was no suggestion that sitting tenant has multiple definitions, or that it could be misinterpreted.
I was simply told I was wrong in a very condescending manner.
Now tell me, why do you feel the need to make such comments when the evidence is right there on page 1 of this thread? The psychology of the pack-mentality is fascinating.0 -
