Saving Photos

I am running Firefox on Win 10

Why is it when I crop and save a photo using Pixlr Express when I open in the file it is blanc?

    Are you saving the remaining photo or the "Cropped" bit? I know it sounds bloody daft but that happened to me once, though I was using Gimp on Vista.

    I am saving the bit I want so it must be the remaining with to rest cropped off
