These boomers have made a mint from doing things that barely pay minimum wage these days.

    Really grinds my gears.

    Corbyn'll see to them.

Corbyn will see to them? Are you joking? Corbyn has an 'agenda for older people'. He wants to increase the state pension from £144 to £182 a week. He wants to increase state spending on social care. Now, fair dos, he does recognise that this "has to be paid for", and that "we have to talk about tax", but if he ever gets in, you'll be paying for it.:)

Wow! You really are a one-trick-pony.;)
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Sure in a closed economy, but in an open economy in theory it is possible, forgo consumption now, run a balance of trade surplus and thus acrue claims against workers abroard....this should be very useful with an aging population structure....

But the economy is closed. Earth is not trading with other planets yet.

Has the heyday of the generous company pension scheme now been consigned to history?

Not according to "Fred the Shred". He tells me he s***wed up a company 'royally', and still gets a decent pension wad.

I know a lot of people of my age who've stuffed up their lives in a big way, and also a lot who've done way better than me. It's down to what you do rather than when you were born.

Yes house prices IN SOME AREAS are a major issue, but there are a lot of places in the UK where they aren't. With a decent degree you can easily start on £25k to £30k even in the North and get a very decent flat for £60k.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
