The jelly should work or maybe a custard if he likes these?

Does he have a favourite soup or meal that you could reserve a small portion just for him and add a neutral flavour drink to?

Crossing fingers for all dds this week- one has moved into a flat with friends and having problems sorting out electrics, boiler, heating, water etc. - another has a job interview on Tuesday which she would love and another has a extra busy and difficult week. Oldest is coming round to pick up more of her stuff on Thursday and will stay for a healthy lunch and a chat.

Son in law cooked a lovely meal last night and even checked it worked for slimming plan which was sweet of him.

Having a really lazy morning after a very busy few days. I might surprise youngest and start to sew a patchwork cushion for her bedroom and maybe post a parcel later as she forgot her dressing gown. I am glad i made a chicken and veg soup yesterday and have it in the fridge so have healthy lunch planned.

    Hugs to all

  • Thanks Elona. Unfortunately amongst the selection we were given at St James there isn't a neutral flavoured one. I have just requested a further supply from our GP and am hoping there might be some vanilla ones amongst them. Then I could use for custard, rice pud etc. I don't like being picky choosy on flavours on my first request for them! Might feel a bit more assertive next time we order some.

You could try the fruity or sweet ones with jelly, custard etc and save vanilla for savoury? They do a neutral flavour as well.

I had a yoghurt and fruit for breakfast and a home made chicken and veg soup for lunch so feel quite virtuous ;)

It is a very grey day but might go to local shop for large box to post dd's dressing gown to her before it starts to rain. Can't believe how quiet the house is without youngest.

Hugs to all and fingers crossed for TA and husband.

I hope LW is having a good holiday as she deserves it.

  • Evening all,

Got a bit wet this morning on our walk. I wonder what people would have thought if they'd knocked on the door and seen me and my friend sitting in dressing gowns together! Thank heavens for the tumble dryer :)

We had wet lunch at school which is always manic and deafening...

Just had Pork Loin chops and veg for dinner.

Happy Monday all - Doc Martin later :)

Oh bless your sweet heart, unfortunately I don't live any where near lakeside in fact I am right on the south coast, and I don't think I have ever been there ! but your offer is very kind and made me well up.

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes, my FIL is a d**K and he has upset me so much, I have arranged cover for noodles until the 28th so she has another two weeks with us, the improvement in her is already very good, she has put on weight and the scabs on her legs and body have almost gone and we can now leave the room for a while without her getting anxious, I hope this will all help her in finding her forever home, it will be so hard giving her up but I think she needs more than we can offer her time wise xxx
  • Evening everyone.

Redruby (((hugs))) at least noodles will have had time to adjust to some love and attention before he gets his forever home.

Been searching sites for temp jobs. Applied for a couple so will see if I have any joy.

Os today breakfast pots done and kitchen cleaned. Shoes taken to cobblers, picked up dh suit from dry cleaners and posted eBay sales.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.
